For a Better San Miguel
Raynette Martines for San Miguel CSD Director
Hi, I’m Raynette Martines, many of you know me as Raynie. I have lived in San Miguel for over 30 years. I own a business here in the district and have called this town my home throughout those years.
As a mother of five adult children and many grandchildren, I understand the importance of a strong community where families can not only live but thrive.
From 2020– 2024, I had the honor of serving on the San Miguel CSD Board, including as the first female President, as well as Vice President, and only the second female board member in the district’s history.
During that time, I helped secure approval of the much-needed wastewater treatment plant, which received grant funding. I also consistently supported fire department grants to provide essential equipment and staff.
My record also includes voting for Safe and Sane Fireworks for our town, which adds to a positive and vibrant community environment.
I currently serve on the San Miguel Advisory Council (appointed in 2026) and on the Finance Council at Old Mission San Miguel, continuing my commitment to our community beyond the CSD.
Looking ahead, I see a path for thoughtful development in our downtown core—preserving San Miguel’s small-town character while supporting local businesses, honoring our history, and creating opportunities for future generations. I also support improving water pressure in San Lawrence Terrace through a booster pump and expanding our town’s water storage capacity, especially east of the river. These are just a few of the improvements I would work toward for our community.
There is still so much to do, and with your help on November 3rd, we can make a Better San Miguel.
Thank you, Raynette
A Proud San Miguel Resident
